Autism Sunday is also known as the International Day of Prayer for Autism and Asperger Syndrome. It is observed on the second Sunday of February.
The awareness campaign was launched in 2002 Autism Awareness Year in the UK, by Ivan and Charika Corea whose son is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.
Campaigners and organisations around the world have been asked to use the opportunity to campaign about Autism and Asperger Syndrome in events leading up to Autism Sunday.
